Truck is going in to dealer in a couple of days for my free oil change and lube, and a couple of warranty items. Will remove EZ. Should I remove boost elbow?

Have DDIII's.

Thanks, TC

You are pretty well out of luck, if you remove the EZ and not the elbow the lot monkey will set an overboost code in the lot. If you remove both the lot monkey will probably set an overboost code in the lot. If you cannot drive it yourself in and out you are really running a risk of them setting a code with DD3's and no boost module. I would just leave the EZ on and disconnect the data link, take as much power away as you can. With your mods I can't imagine that you are worried about your warranty are you?

you will have to remove the boost elebow or you will trip overboost code with no ez. And dd3 will be pretty noticable to them. you will smoke with stock boost and be way too qiuck for stock on a test drive. I have injectors rated between dd1 and dd2's and thay know I had them right away.

Worried?

You mean I can't add the PE Comp and be invisible?

No, I've accepted the fate of my 7yr, 100K warranty. :(

Just trying to slide a couple of seals and gaskets thru. :p

If you're taking it to who I think it is, then I wouldn't worry about it... I'm pretty sure he won't say anything. Just take off the EZ so it is not in his way, and leave the brass elbow in, and if it sets an overboost code(which I don't think he'll be driving it that hard), then so what? the code will clear itself after a few starts/runs.

You have an extended warranty that you paid extra $$$ for... they can't deny coverage on it.

Pull everything but injectors. Then unhook the neg cable for a 1/2hour or so. Then baby it real easy to not set any overboost codes while you take it in.

So far this has worked for me.

Good Luck

Replace the elbow with the apropriate size pipe fittiing with a barb on & connect the hose to that ,assuming you have a stock turbo you shouldnt exceed the 20lbs set by the factory. If you,ve already set a code disconect the batteries overnight & that should clear the code . That,s what I did to take mine in .

Change it yourself

I think Thomas has the right idea! Inexpensive to do, don't have to worry about taking off your mods, and a further bonus is you don't have to worry about them reflashing, lot monkeys banging up your baby, etc. etc. plus the hassle of drop off and pick up and how do you get where you're going for the time they have it. Just m2cw... ... ... .

They ain't touching mine unless I'm DESPERATE!!! ;) ;)

I have DDIIIs and I had to take my truck in to have the battery temp sensor replaced. I took off my PE-EZ and hooked the wastegate up as normal and I couldn't set an overboost code on the way to the stealer (believe me, I tried), and I live at sea level. They didn't say a thing to me and they all stared at my truck when I left. I think they knew about the DDIII's right off the bat but didn't mention anything about the warranty.
