Made it there and back! 5,700 miles, 350 gallons of fuel, $480 for fuel, roughly 17. 5 mpg round trip and that's pushing between 75 - 85 on the hwy w/AC on! Only had one small problem (other than keeping the windshield clean) 5,400 miles into the trip I heard a chirpin from under the hood
during (thank god) a fuel stop. Seems the new Gates belt (which I checked before heading out every morning) I installed before we left decided to pop a nylon band and try to climb in towards the engine
. Glad I kept the old Chrysler one. Cut the Gates, 3/8" ratchet, the old one was on in 10 minutes and back on the road.
I have never seen soooo many Dodge Pickups, 2500, 3500's dually & non-dually pulling trailers in my life. If I added the Frds & Chevs together I could honestly say the Dodges had em out numberd . . . BIG TIME
