diesel engineer job

E.G.R. and the Diesel - Q&A

Well now there is no hope for us dodge guys... ... . they got triples and "bigger" engines.

I would like to see it and hear it run. How long did it take? I hear it takes like "years" to make a triple turbo set up... ... ... ... :D

Actually they are on a 95-97 model 7. 3l He started on twins back in december and did that, then decided why not and went ahead and put another on her. Looks cool. travis

That setup could make an EASY 150psi of boost...

It's a cool combo and the fab work is actually pretty good.

Let's see how it works out for him, come to some conclusions and then form some solid opinions. It takes balls to do something like this to your truck... especially on a PSD.

I sure hope he's going to run water injection in that thing... I don't see any provisions for an intercooler... . and he's compressing atmospheric air THREE times before feeding it into the engine.

I'll help you bolt on a HT3B. Heck, I'll let you use the HT3B I have now... then you can just replace it when you get a chance.

Call the welding supply shop. We're going to need some Argon.

The fuel filters are dead center on the top on the old PS's, aint they? It looks like it will be harder to change than the 94-96 dodge fuel filters.

When Ford guys go for performance one of the things that go along with bigger injectors is a fuel system to feed it. He is using i believe an aeromotive 11104 eliminator pump and twobig 2 micron filters with a garden hose sized fuel line. The stock fuel systems on the older style truck (liek this one) was a combo low pressure/high pressure pump and wont pump to the requirements of a performance drive unit. Kinda like a pusher pump or fass on the doodge's. Travis

so whats he gonna use for a hood?

Also, Short Exhaust out the top so Loud as hell and not legal for smog... oh well, if used only for pulling or not on road, then ok but worthless for on the road.

I hope he condsiders building a cage over it, he is going to get a face full of metal if that puppy blows up... .

Otherwise fairly cool even for a ford.

Matt, if you need some practice fabing up some twins I can bring my truck up to Madison anytime. I have almost all the parts I need, I just need to find a good welder/fabricator !!!

Dennis

PS I found a BHT3B with a 26 and a Garret Version with a 22cm housing. I think thats the one I am going for !!!
