my buddy went in to get his 48re serviced for the 30,000 mile mark. He said all they did was drain the oil flush the system and refill it with oil. he said they didnt even change the filter-said they didnt need to unless it was high mileage and hasnt ever been serviced

What a load of crap. For the price of a filter, it should have been changed no matter what.
