My truck has thrown P0336, Crankshaft Position Sensor Performance. Its been -15 degrees the last couple nights and its 2 degrees right now,and need to run to the parts store. I tried starting my truck and found out the blocker heater breaker tripped,of course my truck would fire off. I got it started after getting the block heater cooking, would long cranking time fire off the code? Can I drive the truck without fear of being stranded? Should I try resetting the code with my Smarty and see what happens or should I replace the sensor and forget about it?

Thanks-Casey

Unless it is actually affecting the way the truck runs, reset it and forget it. Mine has thrown this code numerous times, it used to be the TST that caused it, but now it just happens periodically.
