Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Trouble code P 0720

Hey I looked thru the forums with no success. I searched a google search and found the issue. The 0720 code is the low output speed sensor. This is located on the overdrive so i've read. Does this sound right. Thanks Chris

That's correct. It's commonly called the Transmission Output Shaft Speed Sensor.



It's a $15-20 part available at any good auto parts store. Takes about 2 minutes to replace and you'll hardly even get your hands dirty.

Yah, the replacement part was cheap 25 dollars. and easy to replace. and nope no burn outs. The transmission did hesitate on shifting a bit.
