Perhaps I should have left well enough alone but I went & tapped my pump yesterday. Something was amiss. The very first thing I noticed was my MIL engine icon was lit up by the time I'd driven 100 feet. The truck was running fine so I went for a spin. At first it seemed I had a lot more power & smoke  but the box didn't respond to the power level control. To keep the story shot, I double checked all the electrical connections & they were fine. The manufacturer was supportive & asked me to return the box for repair. The good news is the truck still runs fine but I can't clear the codes. I have p 1693 & p 0238, that's MAP sensor voltage high. I disconnected the batteries for over an hour but the codes remain. Am I going to have to find an OBD tool to clear them?

Darkhorse. . if you go to the last article in the 911 archives, you'll find your solution. Title is 'Stuck in limp mode'. Hope this relieves some of your anxiety:)

Thanks Jerry. If it doesn't clear on it's own with a few more start cycles I'll see someone with an OBD scan tool.
