Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) trouble codes

my 2001 truck check engine has been coming on every once in a while the last day or two more often i check the codes i am getting a p 1689 and p 0237 the p 1689 is ecm not giving injection pump information what would be the cause of this i do get a dead pedal or low power the p 0237 is low map sensor voltage would one of these codes set the other one or are there two separate problems

Try unplugging the ECM and spraying with electronic cleaner sounds like a bad conn.

You might also disconnect and reconnect the VP44 fuel injection pump.



If there are no wiring problems, then unfortunately the ECM could be on the way out.
