Are you going to be concerned about lugging it at oh say 20rpm. Your going to need a tanker to haul behind it at 1660gph fuel consumption. I could just see the station attendants face when you pull in and tell him your going cross country and need to fill up. You sure wouldn't have to worry about not having enough engine for the job

They are a sight to behold.

You don't tow the tanker YOU ARE the tanker!!!

I have some sea time working with a 7 cyl Sultzer. The turbos were bigger than my truck, 2 of them. We used to clean them each day with walnut shells. Thats right! While it was running put a coffie can of crushed walnut shells right through the exh side of the turbo. Cleaned the blades off.

We took it into dry dock and they were inspecting the engine... Just crawled into the crankcase. You could stick your head through the ports on the bottom of the cylendars to inspect the insides.

Real cool stuff. And no it never luged at 20 rpm!!!

;)

:--) :--) :--)

How about a 104rpm GSK for it? Wind that puppy up!:D

I'll bet an engine brake would sound wicked on her. :-laf

I want to see an injector! Show me the pump! --drooling smilie.

Injectors?

4 per cylendar with one exh valve in the middle. Note these are 2 cycle engines, no intake vavles.

Also these burn "bunker C". This is the stuff that is left over after all the "good stuff" is taken out of crude. If memory serves you have to heat it to 140 deg just to pump it! I don't remember how hot it was on the high pressure side. ;)

later,
