TROY-BILT PARTS, anyone?

I bought a 1994 Troy-Bilt model 47292. This is a Chipper shredder that works real well. I got it on Ebay. The thing I need for it is a bag. The zipper is shot, and parts for these "old" Troy-Bilts (before the buyout) are hard to find. I did locate a business in NJ that has some NOS and reproduction parts. They have a waiting list for the bag I need and the manufacturer won't crank any out until at least the fall.

Does anyone have any leads on early Troy-Bilt parts?

If just the zipper is bad. Find a replacement and have a upholstery shop install it for you.



If the bag material is a lighter weight a home machine would do it most likely.

I thought about going to a sailmaker or upholsterer. It's got a real real long zipper.

Check in a local fabric shop. Most of the time they sell zipper by the foot.



If they don't have any heavy enough. Look for a old long coat at a flea market and buy it for the zipper.
