Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I am thankful for this forum as it has helped me very much. I was in the middle of installing my new differential cover and found a leak around the
brake dust shield. The fluid looked clear and also did not stink like gear lube
, so in to the dealer for a recall(software) and an inspection of the leak.
They found it was the axle seal among other things they found. The ball joints are bad, the front hubs, the brake booster leaking all to the tune of
3100 dollars. I am also grateful that I have the max care extended warranty as it is paying for itself. All is getting fixed for my 100 dollar deductible.
I also had rear seat belts not functioning properly. 83000 miles on the truck and waiting for the water pump recall too. Got the recall, but everyone knows the parts are not there yet. This truck has had more recalls than any vehicle I have ever owned, but I still would not part with it. Cheers
