Truck bed width

Bought a 89 Coachman truck camper. Went to pick it up today. It would not fit my 2000 Ram 2500 truck. The back of the bed is too narrow, the camper could not slide in the whole way! Thanks DODGE!! If you are looking at used camper be sure to measure!!!!!!!!! Lacked about 1 3/4" of fitting.

yep the bed lenght is tappered ifound out when purchased a older rear cap

uh huh. I found the same thing out when I got a set of ladder racks off of a buddys chevy. I went to bolt them on and realized it tapered also.

Tonneau Cover frame

My Tonneau cover frame, the middle support falls out due to the tapper. I use electrical tite wraps for insurance, as if you loose the bar the thing whips in the wind and it gone.
