Steveaz is broke down in El Paso. I asked him to change the fuel filter as it sounds like the most likely problem. Last I talked to him he was on his way to get one. I told him how I purge the air from mine which is a 99 but am not sure if a 98. 5 is the same setup. Any help getting him going is appreciated. His cell # 602-653-0203. His 911 post is here.

It's fixed,fuel filter did the trick.

Dave, thanks again for your call and the help it worked! Seems there was one fuel filter left in El Paso and it did the trick. Would have never thought that filter would cause that kind of trouble. Bottom line that call saved me alot of time and money, from now on there will always be a spare filter (or two) on hand.



Made it back to Phoenix, truck never ran better.
