Archived truck bucking

my buddy hit a deer with his 99 cuimmns automatic now his truck is bucking almost like a fuel problem but the rpm's dont drop. He can run the rpm's up to 2000 at idle and every thing is fine but when under a load going up a steap hill or mountian his truck bucks sometimes hard other times light . his truck is a 99 24v with a banks auttomind box bigger rear tubo housing and banks 4" pipe. if you guys could give us some ideas of stuff to check that would be great

engine problems

Does it run smooth when you are running it up or does it seam rough? Could also be lockup problem there was a fix for that in one of the issues ago cutting in the orange wire on the PCM . By chance did the poooor deeer do some damage to the fuel line. Please keep us informed.

his truck at ide and even running on the flat seems ok he got on it a couple of times and ran it up to 2700 rpm's and didnt buck but on a hill at 1800 it starting to buck faster and from looking at the fuel lines everything looks to be alright.

Bucking engine

Mine bucks badly in the 1000 to 1300 rpm range and did buck very badly when leaving cummins after the injector pump replaced . Going up about 10% grade at 2200 it was if you turned off the vp-44 for 1 or 2 revolutions just bang and wanting to stop at somting like (???? 70 MPH) and the teckies have no idea about this both. I suspect that is it that the pump is in fact being turned off by some transistor losing it's signal in the fueling side of it for it is too violent not to be this. ????? This bucking in the range that I have is probably where the cross over from rich to lean burning crosses over and the signal from the MAPS or speed sensor is too week to pickup the transistor yet. so the bucking starts. :??????????? :{ :{ The 2200 is the highest that I have experianced it so far. :-{}

iam starting to think it in the trans checked fliud and looks burnt alittle were going to change the filter and fluid maybe today if we can get the stuff we also caught it bucking going down the moutian and while its shifting but we will try that he's takeing it to the dealer on tuesday to get the lift pump and fuel system check
