i bought a 95 with a junk cab, swapped on an 01 quad cab. i ended up using the dash and engine harness and front end harness out of my 94 and an using the tail harness out of the origional 95. currently i have no tail lights, no left blinker and then i turn on the right blinker both tail lights flast and the clock on the radio flashes, lol. the harness in the drivers wheel well plugged right in, did the switch up the order of the wires between the years? can someone help me

You've got a ground issue... . appears the turn signal is grounding through the running lights... . I'm not sure, but I think there is a difference in the '94-95.

ive gone threw the gounds. i have power all the way back to the tail light harness, test light lists up nicely, but when i plug in the harness it starts to act up. can the tail light harness go bad?

Anything's possible. Probably a wiring difference. If I understand you correctly, you plugged the '95 front harness into the '99 rear tail light harness?

The flashing in the both lights and clock tells me the turn signal is going into the running lights wires. At this point, I'd say check to make sure you have the correct bulbs plugged into the tail light sockets. If they're correct, I'd think you'd have to switch the wires. If it's working correctly with the test light, it's gotta be in the tail light assembly.

'98s and newer, from what I understand, have switched grounds, rather than the switched hots of our older trucks. So if you are using the '01 switches they are wired differently.
