After a thorough inspection of barn floor and reinforcing a set of old ramps I finally got the Lance into the barn and out of the elements. Camper height was not a concern becuase of the huge doors I made a few years back.

I plan on leaving it uncovered and placing lots of mice poison out around the barn. I may just put a tarp above the camper, not on it, just to catch any bird or bat crap.

Thanks to Grizzly and all the others that replied with my earlier questions... :)

I bet your truck did a big sigh of relief when you unloaded your camper. My truck did a big sigh of relief yesterday when I unloaded the camper at the home of the new owners. Yes, I sold my camper yesterday and I feel a little sad. My wife and I were very fond of the camper that we had for 9 years. We are going to move on to a 27' Arctic Fox 5th wheel when I get the right price, We're in no hurry.

Your camper should be fine in your barn with D-Con mice traps around it and a tarp over it. Inspect it once a week or two. Look in the refrig and water heater access doors. Keep an eye on all your vents.

While you're at it, take a few of those fabric softner sheets ("Bounce" etc) and toss them inside to keep some of the insects and other critters out. No, I don't understand why -- it just works.

I put mothballs in my 5er keeps all kind of critters out of it :-laf just one hell of a smell :-laf takes about two weeks to air out

Go around the outside and stuff steel wool in any openings. It'll keep rodents and roaches from entering via those holes.

Works around the house, too.
