I got an ARE cap for my 99QC.
Bought it because it was a left over 98 and i got it cheap...
I looked at newer ones but the inside of mine is gelcoated and it is very very easy to take the water hose and just spray it out. (thats were the dogs live when they come along)

I am still using an ARE cap that I got for my 97 Ram. Had it repainted by ARE to match my 99. Perfect match and no problems.

I got a SnugTop "Hi-Liner" painted to match my truck. You can see it on the "your rides" page. I think it's on page 3, but I don't remember. It's a nice, high quality shell. Some people don't like the look of a shell that's higher than the cab, but I wanted some head room since it's my living space on camping trips. I have a carpet kit, too.
Here's something else you might want to look into: Frank Dziurda (you out there, Frank?) has a really cool metal camper shell made by Caravan Tops in Reno, Nevada. If I had the money, I'd get one myself. I don't know if the company has a website.

There are alot of nice tops out there to choose from, I will say that the A. R. E. was the best I found when comparing constuction.
I've had mine since the first of June, so far no complaints. Regards Pete
