Archived truck cranks but no start

Ok got the death code a while back, truck finally died, would not start on its own just crank and crank, towed it 1/8 mile fired up ran fine, sat for an hour, back to crank and crank. Got a good used vp with 15 K on it, changed pump, still same issues, crank and crank, tow it fires up runs even better than before, sits for an hour just crank and crank, any ideas. i have some codes, and still the death code but i never cleared before new pump install.

I already did that, gonna do the APPS rest in the AM, to rule it out, thanks chuck

I would make sure the connectors for the ECM/PCM are on right and spray them down with contact cleaner.

Also loose or bad connection at the solenoid??



Had this prob aboout a year ago,, bout drove me nuts. Wentland diesel fixed it. Said engine shake changed the conditions.
