Does anyone know the name and phone number, of the yard in Selkirk, NY where vehicles are dropped, waiting shipment to dealers?:-{}

My truck has been sitting there for a week and a half. All the dealer gets is a bunch of lies about it going out! $#@!~()_+&&^%$%$#@:mad: :mad:

My V-10 sat in Selkirk for three weeks. Two of those weeks it sat on the train. It all depends on what order your truck comes off and where they put it. It really bites.

I know how you feel. My 98 sat at the terminal in Houston for 6 days. This is 40 minutes from my house and the guy said that we couldn't just go get it. Had to wait for the transport to haul it here. He is no longer there either. I think the salesman can go get them if they want to. Of course the paper work would have to be in order, heck it says on the sticker where they are going.

Its agonizing isnt it? I learned my lesson with my 96. It was one of the first club cabs to come out. They told me 6 weeks for delivery. It showed up 3 1/2 months later. I played the phone tag game. They will tell you whatever they can think of to keep you from letting them keep the truck. Its on a rail car stuck in St Louis. Its at the port in Houston. "they have a problem with valve lash" blah blah.

We ordered a toyota highlander for my wife. Same thing. I told her to forget we even ordered it. It showed up 3 weeks later with more equipment than we ordered it with:confused . Same price we agreed on ,heh heh heh. We had to hustle for financing to pick it up the next afternoon.

:mad: I told the dealer Thurs. the 14th, (supposed to be picking it up then because it had left Selkirk the day before, honest) to get a car and we would drive to Albany, (3 hrs. only) and get it. Can't do that for one reason or another! I sold my other truck 4 weeks ago, which I use in my business, thinking that the new one would be here the latest at the end of Feb. Been driving a rent a wreck since, waiting for the :-{} thing!

Now Selkirk says its on a trailer waiting for a tractor. Bunch of s_ _t if you ask me! Took yesterday afternoon off work to calm down. Good thing I quit drinking, I'de have one hell of a hang over this AM.

Get this, last call I made to Customer service while tracking it to Selkirk, the guy on the phone says, talk to your dealer about it. I told him I knew where it was, the dealer didn't . His reply was, if the dealer gives you a hard time to call some # or other. I told him the only trouble I had, was talking to him, and hung up! It's a good thing I'm old enough that I'll never have to order a new truck again! OOPS, blood pressure is up again, better stop now. :--)

Yup, taht is about what happened to me. The truck probably is sitting waiting for a tractor. I think that is one reason I'll buy off the lot from now on. I can learn to settle for lot truck, but I can never learn how to keep my blood pressure down.

My story

When I ordered mine it came out of St Louis and went right by my house on the way to the dealer. I even saw the truck on the trailer and told my wife that some one is going to be happy today. Later that day my dealer call and told me my truck was in and ready for pickup. I was the happy fellow. And it got better, I had ordered a 2000 but when it came in it was a 2001 so the dealer let me have it for the same price. :D

:D I found a ride to Selkirk this AM. Called dealer and told them. They said will call you back in a minute. Call came back and the dispatcher out there swears on his mothers grave that it is on the road! Should have it this PM.

Guess they didn't want me to visit them and pick it up myself?

Squeeky wheel & all that works, this time!Oo.

:D Oo. :) Oo. It's here!!!!!!!!! Just pulled in to dealer at 7:15 PM EST. Watched it being driven off car carrier. Gets cleaned tomorrow AM and I take it home! Have the cap installed in PM and Westin tube step + flaps, ventshades, console cup holder, step plates,etc. Then, the make more power stuff, maybe? LOL Good luck to anyone else that falls into the same position with their trucks. :cool:

I now know how it feels!!

I read this post a while back and now know what BFREEL was feeling. :( I tracked my new truck from the factory to the Port of Benicia in California, And there it sits going on 2 weeks. The Dealer says it usually takes 2 days once it gets to the distribution depot to get them here in NV. They said they are not sure what the hold up is. They said they have 3 other poor souls in mine situation waiting for their trucks also. I had no problems waiting when I knew I could get an update on its location and estimated delivery date, but now the anticipation is killing me. I know the wait will be worth it just hope it shows up soon.
