I don't really post much on here, but read alot. Well, I was crusin tonite, when I seen another Cummins, so if figured I get up on it abit. After I let off the go pedal, the thing up and dies on me. I have a comp, hooked up as an ez , that I put on about a month ago, but the truck was working fine. I unhooked the comp and tried to crank it, but it still wouldn't fire. It gets right to the point of firing, but won't start. It's almost like I have air in the lines, but I haven't messed with anything in that area for a while. BTW the truck just went on a 1500 mile trip and worked perfectly. God Bless, James

If you got on her really hard, you could have vapor locked it. I think you have to crack a line loose but I am not sure. I will look into it, and get back to you.

dead truck

even though im a 12v guy, ive read somewere that what happend is their was an interuption in the fuel process aka, you let off the pedal to quickly, and starved the injectors. im not sure the remedy, but crack the injector lines and see if your getting fuel, if so, tighten and try to restart engine hope this helps.

There ya go CC. Crack an injector line or two, and make sure you are getting fuel. I think it is a 19 mm wrench on those injectors. Hope you get her fixed. Good Luck. There is also a guy on here named Travis (MoreMPH) that goes to school in Lexington, he might be able to help you out. Even though he is a Ferd guy :D .

Thanks ya'll for the replies. I just needa get my tools down here to do that. I just think that this 911 is a great idea and can say enough about the TDR in general. Thanks for mentioning Travis, me and him are pretty good buddies, even though he is a Ferd guy :) God Bless, James

If it is vapor locked, you can try shooting the truck with ether. HARD> Not little burst,, but get the truck up to 1,400RPM on ether, with your foot to the floor.

Spray about 3-4 seconds worth of ether in your air filter, get in the truck, put your foot to the floor, and start cranking. It should sound like a 6. 0 PowerStroke cranking up for a second, and then after the RPM's get up, it should run real rough for a couple seconds, and clear up.
