Hello, been a member for a while although this is my first trouble post. My wifes 99 is having an issue. We drove to California from Nevada to pick up hay, the truck ran fine all the way there. We loaded up the hay and stopped for some lunch. When we returned to the truck it started right up, then when it was put into gear it died:{ . I thought that the convertor could possibly be locked up so I disconnected the trans plug with no difference in the result. The engine revs up fine, all the way to 3000, with no stumbling. By revving the engine to around 1400 rpm and putting it into gear I was able to get the truck moving. Truck ran ok although it seemed to be "held back" like the brakes were on. Drove back to Nevada, the truck ran ok, not it's normal self though. Got back to town, no problems at stoplights. Was backing trailer in and when I shifted from drive to reverse the truck died. Started right up again and died when put into gear:confused:  . Did the "rev it up" thing and truck moved with no problem. It seems that if it gets moving it is ok. Any ideas would be helpful.
