Does anyone know of a shop in Guthrie, OK? I can't drive my truck above 40 mph or the front end bounces up and down until I slow down. Something happened on an incline and suddenly my accelerator went from very firm to like driving a new car (I heard a noise but it happened so quick I can't even remember the noise). It does still accelerate and all temps and RPMs appear normal. The bouncing began after the accelerator went spongey.

My truck is a 1995 F-350 4x4 CC SRW with a 1995 Cummins and NV4500. I appreciate any help as I'm towing my new horse trailer back down to NM.

Could be front shocks( press down hard on front bumber then release, look to see how many times it bounces), but I would have front end checked out. I would also check out accelator cable and linkage(look around the injector pump see if any thing is loose).

I think you may have broken a throttle spring. See if one or both are missing.

The pump is very sensitive to throttle input and if you lose a spring it is almost impossible to keep the foot feed steady. Way worse with a standard transmission truck. You are making the truck bounce.....

Mike.
