Started out about 2 months ago as a very small leak, maybe 1 gallon in 2-5 thousand miles, but almost overnight (period of a few hours) it got bad really quick. Now the fan and serpentine belt are spraying a mist of coolant all over making it impossible to track down the source of the leak. I checked all the rubber coolant hoses and it doesn't appear to be any of them, seems to be coming from the front of the block  From under the truck, there is coolant dripping off of the track bar, front of the oil pan, and general bottom of the engine, especially around the bottom of the harmonic balancer area. Definitely seems to be coming from the front area. Would this be a waterpump going south, wouldn't be a head-gasket would it? It's at the point that I can't afford to drive it except to get new parts for it as I'm worried about it getting much worse. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Stephan

I think it's past tense, the water pump has gone South. Get a mirror and look at the weep hole in the bottom of the water pump, it is probably rusty by now if it's been leaking that long. The water pump is the smooth pulley to the left of the fan. bg

did an oil change a couple weeks ago and the oil looked fine, pulled the water pump and the shaft was really loose, going to pick up a new one now. Thank for your helps guys.
