could someone tell me why this morning after about 15 miles the gauges all stopped working. the lights would go dim then normal, and the transmissin would not stay in overdrive or lockup but the engine would go up and down and the check engine light would go on and off?the engine is running good and strong, i have good lift pump pressureis there some one thing that controls all them items? thanks
 
Drivability Problem

The first thought to come to my simple mind is moisture:confused:

I'm quite sure, the big kids with MUSH more knowledge than I will come in here shortly with more in depth ideas. But, like I said, I like to think of the simple stuff first.

I think you may have a ground wire that is loosing it's ground. Might try checking the ones for the dash first. They are usually located behind the kick panels or attached to the stringer behind the knee bolster.
 
sounds to me like a ground issue too. What makes me think that it is a ground is that a bad ground on headlights will often make them dim, also the lock up clutch on the torque converter is put in to lock up mode or overdrive by using a ground also. i could be wrong but a ground issue would be my guess.
