Truck empty weight

I had some hauling to do today. I went to get on the scales before being loaded up and the scales said 5900 lb. After being loaded with the first jag of stone, put on 2600lb and the second run was hauling weight of 2900lb. I was wondering if this was close to what other 4x4 trucks weighed.



I measured the rear bumper both before and after and with the 2900 lb load, the bumper only dropped down 5 inches. Really made it ride nice, for a change.

I suppose if it was mainly stock trim, and not alot of add ons, it would be that light. Mine has a 300+# front bumper, DMI cushion rear bumper/hitch, gooseneck hitch, tool box, and larger tires. I could barely squeak into 6500# classes with an empty tool box, and not a full tank of fuel. I usually figure mine ways around 7000# up and down the road.

Mine comes in at 7250 normaly with 1/2 tank of fuel.



Mine takes 1000 lbs to drop 1". It rides real good with 4k + on it.

I think mine's down to about 4500..... thanks to the state of Connecticut and their liberal applications of road salt:-laf

Mine weighs 7200 with my lard behind in the seat, and no toolboxes. Mom's (same truck, only auto and p/u bed) weighs a light 6500.

Yeah that's about right for a regular cab 4x4 with no add-ons.

6200 with flatbed 92 regular cab and 285 75 16 tires
