My little big rig tried to eat an '01 F-150 on Tuesday. :{

Anyone in the southeast (Atlanta) have 1st gen sheet metal laying around? The push bumper is fine (Sheared off the bolts) but I need fenders, core support, radiator, maybe (Probably) intercooler, hood, and windshield.

Maybe now is the time to go with that fiberglass frontend.

Anyone remember the manufacturer?

Then I get to figure out why it didn't want to stop.

Sorry to hear that. Look up certifit. They will have all the body parts except the core support. Part quality is good and the there prices are cheap. Karl

Thanks a bunch

Great info.

I will definitely let you all in on why it wouldn't stop..... just as soon as I figure it out.

The front locked. Don't know what the rear was doing.

Brakes are all new except hoses.

This was first long trip. (Couple of short 100 mile ones before taking off).

Thanks again for all the info,

Stevie G

Insurance games

Well, if they had their way they would have totalled it.

Some smart person insured it for declared value instead of book value so they have to repair my truck. Oo.

Life is good.

Now I am shopping for prices on putting a Hydra boost on in place of the Vacuum booster.

Note to Puckett- cost to replace front bumper... ... ... . $1000. :D

Actually not a scratch on it. The bolts sheared off and the bumper actually did most of the damage as it slid back.

The money for the bumper is buying a new intercooler which they left off the original estimate.

Adjusters and cylinders

So it all boiled down to a helper messing up the adjusters and wheel cylinders which should have been replaced.

Check your work.

Check your helpers work.

Replace hoses and wheel cylinders.

Back in one piece and just returned from a run to NY and back.
