Truck got lost!!

Found out today the railroad sent our truck to Portland for a scenic tour. Ya gotta laugh at some stupid things in life or go nuts.



It was suppose to arrive last week (2/27), but the railroad held up the train in NB 3 days for inventory discrepancy. Then routed it to Portland instead of Salt Lake. I might see it Monday 3/10, then wait for the dealer prep. Wouldn’t be so bad, but we sold our ‘99 on 2/15 and it is our only ride. It could be worse... Someone else is driving a rental car waiting for theirs... . I also learned a few rail cars of PT Cruisers went to Portland with the trucks... guess the PT’s needed a Real Truck escort?



Anyone else's vehicle get hijacked by the railroad??

My truck was delayed because a snow storm. It was in the railyard 9 miles from where i work for 10 days. The dealer prep takes about 6 hours. Its a sweet truck but i been so busy at work to pay for it, i only put 90 miles on it so far. Oo. Oo.

Lost Truck

My '03 spent an extra 2 weeks in Laurel MD - but I think DC was doing extra pre-delivery inspections. At least my diffs were full when I got it!

With mixed feelings, it looks like delays (s***t) happen...

Thanks for lettiing me know I am not alone... . I just keep telling myself what others have said "It is worth the wait, you will love the truck. " But waiting was sooooo hard and now harder... .

Worth the Wait?

Oh, yes, absolutely it's worth the wait! I've had mine 5 months (and 2 days), and I still grin like the man with the supermodel girlfriend ("Yeah, she's MINE!") every time I drive it.

I have an idea! Since I just ordered an almost identical 03 package maybe I should just go get yours in Portland (it's only 100 miles away) and you can take mine when it's ready.

Well that is a fantastic idea. But the truck arrived in Salt Lake last night and is too tired to make a trip back to Portland. The rails and steel wheels are a rough ride. Plus our 5er can't wait to get hitched with its truck... . not a replacement ... and have ecstacy going down the long open road Our 5er has been waiting 4 months for this union:-laf



It was unloaded today and if (the big if) they can get a truck driver on Sat it will be delivered Sat... If not it will be Monday morning.

Truck got Lost

My 2003 Ram 3500 SRW,4X4, 5. 9HO ,48RE ,4. 10, Loaded Laramie,Leather heat seats, limit slip, tow mirrors,CD player (6) Power passenger seat, sliding rear window, two tone paint, 26517OWL tires. Anyway she is on a train arriving today at 1653 PDT. Can hardly wait. Not bad. I order her on the 10Feb02 build date was 26 Feb (mybirthday) and shipped that same day and will arrive here tonight the 10 of March. I have been very pleased with Dodge keeping me up to date on my trucks progress. Been watching her cross the US from Mexico for the last 10days. Oo. Oo. Oo.

If you order a truck in Fla it gets loaded on a ship in Mexico and sails to Tampa Fla where it hitches a ride on a car carrier to the dealer. The ship won't leave till it has a full cargo hold-hope it doesn't sink.

Hi all,

Thanks for the support and info. I went by the dealer today and low and behold she had just been unloaded! She sure is prurdy! and the sticker says built for me! way cool. Took the wife back tonight and she is almost as excited as me!! Oo. She sat in her, started the sweetie up, played with the seats and had to see the dash lights at night. Oo. The wife is one happy camper Oo. I just grinned and still haven't sat in her yet!!!



Can't believe she is finally here!Oo. Can't believe she is finally here!Oo. don't pinch me I don't want to wake up just yet. . let me drive her first!! Gee do you think it is too much if I go back down and sleep in the bed tonight so she doesn't get lonely, scratched or taken... ya maybe a little too much, but going down all day tomorrow and checking on the add on's has to be a good idea.
