my 2000 truck has no power it accelerates extremely slow and the boost will not start moving untill 2500rpm, and it will only build 5-10psi. can anyone help me please!!!!!:{

i have a three stage edge and 275 injectors 4 inch exhaust all the way boost pyro and k&n box cut out. it has no acceleration, cant really seem to hear the turbo at all. turbo is really oily on the air box side.

Id take the edge box off first if its an EZ,see if that helps,I suspect a big boost leak,check all the hoses and boots,to see if one slipped off partially,you wouldnt believe the power you lose when this happens. Check for intake/exhaust restrictions. I friend of mine had no power,turned out he backed into a snow bank and pinched the exhaust ,resulting in no power. . Id check fuel pressure with a guage,going down the road,stomp the throttl,e ans see where it goes. Anythign under 6-8psi is not good.

No Check Engine light?

Might be a MAP sensor.

Oily... That's teh K&N,, sounds like the oil from the filter could have taken out the MAP, or IAT. You will find out that many TDR Members do not like K&N's for that reason.

Could be that or the turbo is wasted. Alot of oil on the inlet side also could denote worn bushings in the center section that is allowing the turbo to draw oil thru and entering the intake side of the turbo. (Another telltale is blue smoke from exhaust on that one)

However Merrick's Right about the K&N. That could be masking what the turbo is tryin to tell ya. You could have a massive boost leak , waaay overoiled K&N , Bad turbo that can't spool , filthy Map and IAT sensors , or you just may be too used to the power you have added and need more (Doubt the last one but would be nice)

thanks everyone the check engine light is on however, chrysler checked the codes while it was there for other work said that the map sensor was bad i replaced it, no luck. the k&n is a year old hasent been cleaned it isnt dirty. i only drive it on the road so it still looks like new. going to cummins tommorow i guess ill see. thanks alot everyone

When my MAP sensor went out, I had it replaced, and still had problems with it occasionally, but after a day or two, the low power/unable to build boost went away.

A Clean Filter? That doesn't sound so great to me. After 1 year, it should be fairly dirty,, even with on-road use. It might no be sealing, and letting dirt by.

turns out i had a short in my map wires on my edge box cummins charged me 128 dollars to fix it. it is a whole lot better than i thought it would be. so be sure to keep an eye on all of your connections edge owners.
