I finally got my EGT and turbo gages up and running and they sure showed me what I did not want to see. .

My boost at max is 20psi and my EGT goes up above 1300 easy(empty truck). .

Lets see if I can give some info here and get me back to go!!

I have installed a TST plate but not to sure which one!!( did not know there were many when bought). . I just ordered off the net and in the mail it came. .

I have also installed the AFC kit which now I have read that I do not really need(see how I have an auto).

In the last couple of months this think has gone from bad to worse. . Last the transmission had it redone with help from Bill K. , after this my truck got to where it did not want to idle(adjusted ),now it is very slow of the line and smokes like a pipe at WOT. . and MPH has gone out the window( used to get 18-19 city, now get 11-12 and this all was after the bombing)

Need help!! trying to figure if maybe I need to get some adjustments going here or if maybe I am paronode!!
 
First of all I would check your air to air system. That would include all the boots, and the cooler core itself. The cooler is bad about blowing on the bottom right side just above where the hose to the turbo connects. This would explain low boost, and exh. temp. that hang.
 
My first question would be what is the TST plate you are using? How can you even begin to trouble shoot the truck without knowing that? Figure that out first, then check to make sure it is even for you truck. Mark at TST can help you out with that.
 
I am going to check out the all the hoses ASAP. . Already checked intact area and turbo area nothing going on there. .

My biggest concern is the heating to quik...

Will check to see what TST plate I have and will let you guys know!!

Alright guys I believe I got the goods again!!

Did not find any lose hose clamps and no lose bolts. . But i did find somthing very interesting.

My TST elbow (that has the set screw adjuster in it) was lose(very) and the little allen screw was just about to fall out.

So I took it out and put some more teflon tape on the bugger and ran the set screw back in until I had a little total resriction then backed it out a few turns. . Not to sure where it should be. .

But now the ol gal EGT is staying down and my boost is going to about 32psi. . What a differance!!!

I believe this got me back to where I was before!!

So keep an eye on those set screws and elbows>>>
 
Glad to hear you got it taken care of, and I'm even happier for you that it was a very simply (read: free and easy) fix.

Elbow on stock AFC Housing

Doe's it have an adjustment on it like the one that come with the TST kit or is it fixed from the factory?

It has a small allen head set screw in the bend of the elbow.

If you got yours from TST it should be just like mine. . It comes from TST pre-set but you can treak it a little. .
