Well,



after about 5 phone calls to Piers, he helped me get this thing figured out.



And I just thought I knew something about AFC housings... .



I feel about two inches tall right now and my wife was laughin at me like I was a retard.



The other day I changed the spring in the AFC housing to the light spring. I guess i failed to tighten the 10mm nut that holds the diaphram to the cup. Boy, as soon as I took it apart, it hit me like a ton of bricks... . That is where the air (boost)was escaping and not letting the AFC slide away.



Holly Cow, I get the second BOZO award of the week. I pulled a real dandy twice in two days!!!!!



My wife said, "Don you know things happen for a reason" and I said yeah they do, the reason is someone is telling me to slow down and think about things for a moment.



Its running the right way now..... very smokey!!!!

I love the low end power it is great. It does kinda hurt me on the top end power though because of the small housing size.

Im with you on the B-1, I have had several conversations with Kurt about changing to the B-1.



I think the reason you picked up 1/2 second in the quarter is because you low end power improved so much. The 60 foot times and 1/8 miles times is the evidence.

You may be loosing some on the higher rpm range though. The cross sectional area is too small for much over 450 HP with the 12 housing.

At least that is whats up is going on with my 12 valve.

Lotsa power down low and mid range and it begins to fall of after about 2400 rpm fast and the EGT's climb fast.

A larger housing is the key for top power but they blow on the low end.



The hybrid H2e is what some guys are having good luck with. So far the B-1 is censored. I cant get nothin outta Kurt as far as what it is.



I have had great results with the kwikspool, but about 450 HP is it. I want more power so a bigger turbo is what I need.

I need much more boost too. This 40 PSI stuff aint cuttin it.



I want over 50 and a new, more efficient intercooler to get quality, cooler boost.

How much different is the 24V intercooler??? I know Jon(hiperf360) made 25 dyno pulls on saturday in about an hour and a half. . the intercooler never even got warm. It was pretty cool outside though. The last 15 or so were with all the magical boxes cranked up trying to get to that 1000 ft lb ## :D

How much better the 24 valve intercooler is than the 12 I dont know. I want the custom intercooler from AutoWurks.

Its better than the 24 valve intercooler.



I want high, quality boost. Cool boost.



This truck is screamin now. I think I must be very close to 425 or more. I had the plate in a very conservative place and I have moved it up just a bit and installed the ATS manifold that I lightly ported. I need to get to a dyno soon.



Maybe this weekend I will head up to Speedworks and see what is has now.

I wonder how much your 4. 10s lower your dyno #?? Jons torque numbers sucked when done in 4th gear I can't remembe... . the HP #s. The turbo really liked the 5th gear pulls. And he has a 3. 54 rear in his.

The 5th gear pulls develope more power because the engine is loaded more.

Tell me, was it a dynojet or a mustang dyno?

the c-clip on the output shaft where the rear drive shaft slides in the back of the t-case... it holds the output shaft out against the rear bearing... damn thing keeps breaking
 
Oh, yeah a freind of mine had this happenig on his too. It was a 95 2500 4x4 like yours. let me call him and see what he finally did.



When I read you were on your 3rd transfer case I thought you meant it went out and had to be replaced three times.

ya' that too... I am on the 3rd rebuild... didn't know what was happening... now I know... went and got 2 more "fuses"(LOL) this morning

Glad you got it fixed and it was easy, dont feel too bad, when I put in my plate it was a dog and then I saw the I forgot to re-attach the waste gate tube to the AFC housing.

I can beat that one... I just told a guy to make sure he installs the boost elbow when he puts on the 16cm exhaust housing. I even took the time to pull the thing off my truck to send him.



This will be the third BOZO award for me this week.



This has been the strangest few days of my life.
