Dealer called this morning to advise the truck was in. Went over and drooled (along with about 12 other people) over it and gave it a quick going over. That black sport package looks awesome on a duallie. The air dam was damaged probably when they loaded or unloaded it somewhere. Not a big gouge but hey, it is a new truck and cost plenty so they are replacing that. Not much else found out of order. Took it for a short ride. I like the ride. Everything was tight. Sure is different actually hearing the exhaust and the turbo. Seems to pull strong across a fairly wide power band but will be able to tell better once I have a few miles on it. Overall I am very pleased. Should do a nice job of hauling the trailer and the dogs. Since I had to remove my fifth wheel hitch from my old truck, I will not take delivery until tomorrow afternoon. Sure am looking forward to it. Was suprised to see it show up as I was not really expecting it until next week according to the 800 number. Actually quite pleased with how quickly it was built. Ordered August 8 and delivered to dealer September 23rd. Gonna put some miles on the HO this weekend. Cheers.

Congratulations!

Casey, Awesome aint it ? Mine created quiet a stir when it rolled in, first new dually in town, and still the only one. Be prepared for lots of looks and lots of questions.

You will get to love the sound of the exhaust especally when you're really winding it out.

Enjoy:D

By the way, I noticed a Trans Temp light on the dash come on during the bulb test when first turning on the key. Does the six speed have a temperature sensor or is this light just there for snow plow prep packages etc. If it has no function on my two wheel drive, I would have thought they would not put a bulb in it. I may have to crawl under the beast to check it out. Heck, the bottom is where the interesting stuff is anyway. :D

Well, I put about 100 miles on the beast today. I have to say, first impressions are very positive. The only unhappy one is my dog Polly who was really PO'd about being relegated to the back seat after spending all of the time in the front seat of our regular cab until now.

The HO motor was quiet enough to enjoy the stereo, which was not lost on my wife. She loves the truck. Lots of power although I did not boot it around with only a few miles on it. Smooth, handles well and gets lots of looks. In short, I think I made the right decision. I really think the Sport was a good choice for this truck. Will know for sure about the performance when I hook up the trailer as soon as I get the custom brackets from Pullrite. Cheers.

Re transmission temperature light

I crawled under her this afternoon. I found what appears to be a sending unit screwed into the back of the housing on the NV5600. So it appears that the Transmission Temperature light is probably functional. I don't know what else this would be for. Interesting that they would put this on a two wheel drive. FYI.

I heard that my cousin Jeff who runs Kelderman mfg. received his a few days ago, already has air ride on the front and they are in the process of designing the air ride system for the rear.

They sure do look nice in a dually don't they... . It kind of says get the hell out of the way i am coming through. . !

Really looks nice.

Red works for me too. But it has been scientifically proven that black goes faster. :D :D
