Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) truck is possesed! truck with no key

Came out today and truck was like key on with no key. . Fass was running, batteries dead. . Tried to cycle the key . . didn't do anything. Tried to start, did a half crank and that made everything stop



I recently installed a quadzilla adrenaline box and have been having glitches with it including I think the tap on the pump is not tight... What would cause the truck to be "on" without the key?



Gotta charge the batteries tonight. . Good thing I can use my dads car to go to work.

Ignition fuse. I could not shut mt truck off because of a bad fuse.

A bad fuse doesn't sound quite right. I'm not sure how a bad fuse would cause the ignition switch to not be able to turn off. It sounds more like a short to me. You might try checking your fusebox for corrosion. I just read a post where this is causing similar symptoms on 3rd gens.

I think I would be looking at the ignition switch harness connector for signs of overheating. I've had to replace both, not on my personal truck though.
