I doubt your problem is related to the tires. Do a search on "torque converter locking and unlocking" Problem is caused by electrical noise spikes.

Does it stay in above 40? It is most likely because your tires are taller than the old ones. You have effectively lowered your final drive ratio, assuming your old tires were 245's or 265's. The transmission doesn't know this and is most likely shifting at the same engine speed as before and can't decide where it needs to be.

Did the Apps Thing Cleaned The Batteries Now It Worls Great

Apps Was The Proublem NO MORE SHIFTING IN AND OUT OF OVERDRIVE AT 40 MPH

I've gained a few days relief from the battery disconnect/clean procedure but after ordering the DTT noise filter I decided to try the Dunrite tin foil fix in issue #52(also on homepage of TDR) After 160 miles its still working. Longest fix yet! Total cost:under a buck.

tell me more on the the tin foil fix in depth on how to do it

thanks

It's on the front page of this website... ... ... ... . if you can't find it, let me know. You are basically wrapping the tan striped black wire in aluminum foil from the back of the alternator up to the battery, then wrap it in electrical tape. Good cheap fix... ... ... ... ... . works too.
