Fuel filter warning in EVIC

Ever since I purchased my truck 1 year ago August the CEL will come on. The first time was a couple of months after I picked up the truck. The EVIC said to service brake controller and park sense turned off. The dealer said the it lost communication with the odometer for whatever reason and cleared the code. Last November the CEL came on again. The dealer said that Ram was aware of the problem and was working on a fix. The code was cleared and everything was fine for 4 days. The CEL came on again but turned off on its own about a week later. A couple of weeks ago I started the truck and had 3 EVIC messages, Park sense off, service brake controller and replace fuel filters. After about 10 minutes everything was good except for another CEL. The next morning the CEL was still on plus the touch screen froze up. I had to get to work but after sitting all day the touch screen worked as normal but still had the CEL which finally turned off last week. Tonight the CEL came on again! I have an appointment at the dealer for the 26th. They still say that Ram hasn't come out with a fix yet! I am starting to get a little peeved about this. Does anyone else have this problem? Or do I need to find another dealer or truck. FYI, stored code was u-1111, lost odometer message and current code is u-0001, can c bus. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is this a 8.4/N issue guys? I recall reading that a few people needing the radio's replaced to fix stuff like this.

You have something going on with the bus. It may be hard to pin down with it being so intermittent. You need them to run a scan report (and save it!!!) each time it happens so they can see if the same module(s) are reporting it. Just because a module reports a code it does not mean that module (or wiring) is bad. It is just reporting what it sees as far as communication.

I realize this is a module problem. Does this show up as just a code or are there other things to keep on record? My son has the diagnostic scanner /code reader which showed the u-1111 as being stored and the u-0001 as the current code. I have no problem scanning the truck when the CEL returns. I have heard of scanners being plugged in by dealers while the truck is normally used to record events. Not sure if this is used anymore. Thanks.

I had something very similar and was told that my transmission control module had to be replaced. Every since it was replaced I have had no issues. Maybe the dealer is not doing a good enough diagnostic.
