No, no amputations, sorry you dang ambulance chasers!
Cadiz, Ohio. Some of the hottest trucks, gas, Diesel, and semi in the country were here tonight.
Mitchell's, Scheids, Van Haisly am I missing anyone?
Oh yes.
The HOTTEST PSD on the PLANET. Frank caught fire at the end, and luckily, he had his own fire equipment, because the VFD was sleeping! (Little practice there fellas. )
BTW, Frank drove the truck in, 2 hours? Maybe 3, but alas is needing a tow to get home. Hope it is just wiring, no serious damage.
This was a street OPEN, 7500, then bumped to 8000 to let the duallys pull. Run whut ya brung! Floating finish.
I pulled early, my Housecat clutch got me out to 247. Thunder bounced to 260? Johnboy was a few feet behind me.
Tudor, a GOOD running Ford gasser, snuck out 305 feet, Lorretta M. went 29?. A lot of Cummins in the high 200s.
The night looked bleak for Diesels, Tudor was going to win.
Oh look, One more Diesel. The announcer kept saying this is "Wild man Dave Mitchell. " Why do we call him Wild man? You will see.
No porch sitting for the Co-owner of Enterprise Engine!
275, still flying, 300, Goodbye, the weight is all the way up! 325 still SMOKIN!!!! Somebody stop that dude!
347!!!!!! THREE HUNDRED FORTY SEVEN FEET.
AWESOME SHOW! Biggest smile on Sheryl's face I have seen in years!
Everybody in the stands was "Mitchellized!" Except the Ford gasser crowd.
A few lessons we learned tonight:
If you want to sled pull, leave the 2x2 hollow tubing at home, you need solid stock, eh Johnboy? The flagger had to clean his shorts, I'm sure.
Carry a fire extinguisher, you are on own for about 2 minutes out there.
If you ever beat somebody, you have bragging rights, but be prepared, they may come back at the end of the year and put 42 feet on you.
