Truck Pull in Loveland, CO

Just found out about a pull in Loveland this weekend, June 23 & 24. It will be behind the Loveland Auto Auction off Hwy 34 and Denver Ave. There should be signs showing the way. Registration is 8:00 to 10:00 each morning with pulls starting at 10:00. Looks like about $20. 00 per pull. From what I can tell diesels, V10s, and all duallies will pull on Sunday. Should be a good time even if you're not pulling.

I attended the pulls in Loveland, CO on Sunday. I thought the event could have used a little more experienced pullers setting up the equipment and the track. The track was either way to hard, too muddy from wetting, or too soft. They could never seem to get it right... I suppose using a CAT 928 front loader for smoothing the track doesn't help either (heavy!). I was getting dissapointed even watching because of the huge range of track difference thoughout the pulls. It was fun to watch the little V-8 outlaws and Mods rap to 8000+ rpm's though.



As for the "real trucks" There was only 1 Dodge Cummins that pulled. (I got there too late) Of course when they mentioned an exibition pull against the new Duramax I jumped right up, but they had all they wanted. By the way the Duramax got beat by a Powerstroke both days... he he All in all it was a good time. Too bad there weren't more "real trucks"
