Black Reg Cab dually? If so he was @ Temple Hill (Glasgow) pull a couple of months ago and I know of a single charger dually that spanked that rear. ;) He'll be at Lafayette too..... I made sure of that... ... (I don't mind losing to this guy, as long as I'm in 2nd :-laf )

Lafyette Pull

Is there going to be a convoy to the pull? :) I'm going to try to make this one since it the closest to home so far.

Mark, Where in Lafyette is it?

Take Hwy 52 towards Lafayette. When you get to the first red light intersection hang a right. The fairgrounds will be on your left you can't miss it.

I doubt a convoy, more like a mad dash. I gotta go grab my brother (best friend) from White House AFTER work which I am "supposed" to get off @ 4:30, but I haven't left before 5PM any this week. :{ I love overtime and overtime pay... . but PLEASE PLEASE let me be off by 5 on Friday.

Oh yeah timing slipped last night went from 17* to 4. 5* in just one rev from idle to 4400RPM's. Yeah I shoulda left the camera in the house. Checked the plunger lift tonight it was at 3. 3mm should be 5. 8 for 17*. Oh well I wanted to bump my timing anyways... I'll set it at 20* tomorrow night. My buddy would have had it done tonight, but he forgot his gear puller. :(

Should be back up and ready tomorrow night.

Mark,

Are they having the fair or is it a truck/tractor pull or just a truck pull? I think I may come. If so I may can pick your brother up. I'll post as soon as I know.

I'll be there. I don't know what time I'll be leaving. Probably around 5:00-6:00 from the Rivergate area.

Leaving work ASAP. Thanks for the offer, but he's only about 15-20 mins from work... just hop over a couple of back roads on the outskirts of Gallatin.

This is just a truck/tractor pull. If its anything like last time diesel trucks will pull last... . like 10PM.

I made a couple of changes tonight, but I'm still running my 35" tires so we will see how I do.

Well you should post a report. Mark.

Here's what I heard: Slick track, heavy sled--wait, ain't that the regular deal? :-laf

Anybody else go? Who/what won? How far? How many?

POS Track, HEAVY sled. Horrible combo. I'm not just making excuses that's what happened.

Ben Towe won AGAIN! He's the same guy that won it last time. '05 3500 6spd 3 stacked boxes & 130HP injectors Iron Giant SBC DD. 297Ft I think?

I called in one of my buddies from KY, but best he could do running a legal setup was 273Ft. Most of the guys that did better had two things going for them. They went to the right side of the track (left was mud  ) and they had hitches in the 30"-40" range.

Wade,

I may be wrong, Mark will correct me I'm sure, but there were 13 street trucks. One Ford gasser, one D-max, seems like there may have been one Power Stroke. The rest were Dodges. Everything from 12V to the new models. Seemed like the sled was heavy and the track was jacked up towards the end. I don't know much about pulling, but it seemed to me that everybody was trying to use too much gear. It may have been that the sled was overly heavy. I'd say blocking the suspension would really help and some fellas had obviously deflated their tires a little too much.

Mark's buddy, Rodney, broke. Mark told us he blew a head gasket. He dumped a lot of oil. I thought he'd broken his transmission or t-case.

Scott

Quite a few 3rd Gen's then a couple of 24V's and a couple of 12V's and one lone IDI 6. 9 Ferd Diesel.

Track was still damp from the mud run a few weeks ago, and very bad on the far side, and that's the side I decided to take not knowing. Starting the sled was very hard, and I had a exhaust leak that I thought was a smoking clutch so I got out of the clutch the quickest I ever have and blew the tires out from underneath it (spinning with no traction) instead of walking it out and getting the sled started like I normally do.

Rodney blew a headgasket but he also burned 2 holes in a valve and scored 3 or 4 of his pistons. :{ I feel really bad for him he's not running nearly as much fuel as I am!

Here's the vid of all 13 street trucks

Here's pool 'ol Rodney's damage pics! :(
