These were pictures taken this past weekend of May 12th at the Perry County Gun Club in New Lexington, OH. Myself and some of my friends took four of our trucks up and pulled for the first time this year. The track conditions were not too good to say the least. It was really muddy, and traction was the key to winning the pull pretty much. I ended up finishing 2nd, and Chad (grey Dodge) finished 3rd. My other two buddies, Smokin Cummins (Red Dodge) and Josh (Blue Dodge) had some clutch troubles and weren't able to get a good hook. Hopefully the next pull will turn out a little better for all of us. Take Care!

We have to give all the credit to Juinor for the great pics this pull he did a great job!! Blackdog is right traction and keeping your foot out of the smoke pedal was the key to this pull not power!! I think if I had not test pulled I would have done a touch better but if I went pulloff bound I would have had to drop a gear!! Well it looks like we showed the guys on the Ford site what was gonna happen if they bad mouth us little inline 6's The KILLER B's are doing better than we thought we'd do for the first go round this year... Still have a ways to go to catch up to Dave, Loretta, oh and I almost forgot... . Keith... thanks!!

Hey... . does anyone see the guy running the sled? I heard second hand smoke causes cancer... . I'm so so sorry Mr. Sledman, usually Supers and Pros blow it straight up in the air, not us, he went home smelling like good ole' #2 diesel that night... lol. . I'm terrible

Ummm... . how come my pics aren't showing up now???, any ideas????. They worked fine last night when I put them on here thru my photopoint.

The pictures look great, looks like fun. There's never any truck pulls down here in Southern Arizona. How come there's never any 1-tons in the pulls?

Hey Blackdog the pictures are GREAT. I'm going to Buckmotorsports this weekend to pull the sled, some time they let us drag race side by side for 200 or so feet. With your auto did you pull in high range for more wheel speed or low for the power. I pulled last year took it to easy didn't spin the tires just tried to maintain traction. Looks like you made us all proud

Mike

Blackdog pulled in Low Range I'm pretty sure, the sled was an ole peice looked like it had been drug around with horses at once... lol, so it was a dead weight sled you could not get any run with it what so ever. With his TC and VB he shifted with it whenever he could. He can tell for sure thought HI or LOW but I'm pretty sure it was LOW
To bad we have to go to that truck show in Lima this weekend or we'd be up there blowin some smoke with ya!! Thanks...

SSJL... . Sorry to hear your all the way out there in AZ. man we'd like to have ya out here with us. As for your question about the one tons, they do pull with us it is usually an open class or an 8000 lbs. class although I did see one of Van Haisley's boys last year get his down in the small class to run with us single wheels at Lancaster last year in late summer. Let me tell ya if you get a guy who knows what he is doin with a dually he can really put it on some of the single wheel guys but i think they have some problems sometimes tryin to get their rear dual tires not to fight each other for traction due to incorrect air pressure.

Looks like someone dozed a few trees and built a pullin track.
Not a bad idea... ... .

I was hopin to make the Buck this weekend, but crap is going the WRONG way already.
I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get back to the track!

On Wednesday we got to watch "Blue Thunder"
smoke a Z28 and a Cobra at the drag strip! He runs about 7500 lbs. with his pipe rack and lifted quad cab long bed. He is just about to break into the 13's.

In the local pulls Chris out distanced everyone before his output shaft let go #ad

He'll be back once the upgraded replacement shaft is installed.

Hey everybody! Tell us what you think of our pictures and we'll start putting more on if you like, we'll be pulling with Dave Mitchell some this year and we can probably get ole' Juinor to run that camera a couple more times for us this year to enjoy all the smoke shows if you would like?? So let's hear from everybody who takes a glance and tell us how you like them, ok, and if you have any pics of your trucks pulling we would love to see them!! Thanks!

Keith Conway got first with his 95 12valve, this truck was like the first Mitchellized Dodge from up around there. He's been pullin for quite some time now and let me tell ya he has an excellent running truck. Four of us took it out the door the first hook, so then we had to have a pull-off. There was a hot running PSD that was in the pull-off but stalled the truck and wasnt allowed to hook again, although it wouldnt have mattered. So Dodges of course ended up takin the class.

Blackdog is right, Keith was what made Dave Mitchell start working on these little Cummins engines. Keith came to Dave when he learned there was a local county fair pull in town he wanted to do good so Dave tuned her' up. The truck is a "SLEEPER" you wouldn't know it. We ran into Keith at the fuel station in Thornville that night of the pull and the truck was hooked to a horse trailer and stock tires!! Couple hours later he showed up with a set of Kumaho tires and out the door he went, he never looked back!! He is a heck of a nice guy, and now he said the problem is keeping Dave away from his truck!!!
