For those of you that have had your trucked weighed... what was your best empty weight? Any chance of getting into a 6700lb truck pull weight class?

Vaman, check out this thread; https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//Forum5/HTML/001205.html Although he doesn't indicate his model, I assume it's at least a 4x4 2500. Don't know how much weight difference there is between these years but hope it helps!

Vaman--I don't think you'll make it in that class--you probably weigh around 7000-7300 lbs---my 99 longbed QC with nerfs, ladder racks and tonneau cover weighed in at 7580 with me in it--so it depends how much you weigh also--me at a svelte 210+/- ---My6eatsV8's weighed in at around 6300 lbs--96(i think)regular cab---and then there's always the chance the scales aren't calibrated 100%---but anyway good luck---lose the tail gate the spare tire and anything else that you can and maybe you get close--empty truck with just you in it---chris

Drop your tailgate, spare tire, rear seat and passanger seat, run on fumes, and I'll bet you'll be close.

Thanks for all the input. I'm going to try to ditch everything (maybe break out the sawzall? lol) to make this weight class. They're running the big rigs (20k modified and street legal) but only one pickup truck class (6700 lbs).

Rattlin, they're having one this weekend somewhere in Richmond. I wanted to go but I'm finishing my clutch install and it's raining every 5 minutes here. It seems like most of the pulls near us are in PA. I have family in upstate New York and there's a little county fair there that I really want to enter. The Buck is probably where I'll head next though. #ad

I think you will be fine. I weighed my Y2K on a CAT scale and was 4200 lbs front axle and 2560 lbs rear axle for a total of 6760 lbs. I was in the truck so deduct 180 lbs for approx total of 6600 lbs. The scales are guaranteed so I assume its accurate.

I wiegh in at 6370 with my huge 170lb #ad
frame and 1/4 tank of fuel(bout 10 gallons) and that wieght is also with my boggers on and they are heavy. I think you should find a public scale or waste disposal site to get a starting wieght.
Good luck.
Have fun.

Vaman,
Do you know of any truck pulls in our area and the dates? I would really like to go to some. I'm not too far from ya and could help out the RAM cheering section at least.
Wonder how mad the wife would get if ..... say,... . they had a 2wd class ... ... . and someone would lend me a couple of big tires ... ... #ad

My registration has 5900 for the weight. I will have to dig up one of my weight slips to check actual weight but I sure with truck and 10' utility trailer I was way under 6700.
