Competition Hannible Missouri car show?

Off Roading AMA ATV & Motorcycle Sand Race

Josh, here ya go to get to redneck country. If you can get over to Forest Lake you are in business. As you are heading up I 35 take the 97 exit. Head east on 97 for a couple of miles there will be a stop light. Stay in the right lane and merge onto because 97 is going to take a right at the next light. Now that you are there, follow 97 east for several miles until it comes to a "T". Turn left and you should be on hwy 95. Follow 95 for like 7 or 8 miles and you will see a Blue Hospital sign then a sign for 242 or 245 I can't remember. Anyway there is a sign that reads Osceola. Take that right and that hwy is 2 miles long. Wa-la you are in Osceola, WI. Take a right at the stop sign, you will heading right down town Osceola, after the light in town be on the look out for a sign that says Oakey Park, should be 3 or 4 blocks after the stop light in town. Just keep looking to the right. That is where we will be, you are not going to miss us, well maybe you will. If you have problems call Tim or I on the cell phone we will get you there. I know my directions are bad, it really is not that hard to get there... ... ... ... . see ya Friday. BTW, your turbo is still not big enough, I want twins bad... ... ..... :-laf

what are the actual rules. may i run my ladderbars? i dont have hanging front weights, but can they still be run? weight limit? #8000? and real directions. i am looking at a map and what road is this on? at a fairgrounds? hwy 35 or county m?

i am kinda paranoid about good directions.

thanks, grizz

To tell ya the truth there really are no rules... ... ... ... :-laf So if you have ladder bars run em if you want to hang weight hang em. Tech is not going to be that tough on the diesel class. I was already asking, just do me a favor kind of keep the power you guys have to a hush hush. The guy who rund the pull has a 4 door long box 1 ton that is not stock, and he is pulling. he is also the tech guy so if we can't pull he can't, plus he is a friend of mine. Just keep in mind that we pull last, so things will run late, last year we got done at 1:30am. I am ready to just have a good time, and I hope I don't melt down. See ya guys tomorrow... ... ... ..... Jim.

Well I want to be the first to thank Jim and crew out in Osceola for putting on a good show. Not many breakages. Honestly I'm kind of supprised considering the fact that you could hear tires squeal and smell tire smoke! It was a very hard track. After looking at the video today, I should have tried 4th (OD) I had very little wheel spin till the end, I might have gotten an extra bit of speed out of it. OK OK OK So tires with tread on them may have helped too!

I just want to shout out to all who made it weather you pulled or just watched. A new '04 Dodge on drugs took the win but my showing was pittyful. Since I am new at this game I am not going to make excuses for why I went 150 or 180, I really don't care I just knew I was slipping a fe clutch bad, since everyone has told me there were sparks flying out of the truck. So I may try it once more next year then I will be a little better prepared.

I sure I was not down on power since I headed to Iowa early Saturday morning and laid down 485hp / 1205tq on a MD 250 dyno. So with that I am happy, even had fun on the way down with the guys as well as on the way home with them too. Glad to know though it was just me Friday night and not the truck itself, just to bad I had a bunch of people out to watch me make a fool of myself... ... ... ... ... ... lol. Oh well, I know what I have, I just won't hear the end of it for awhile :( . Since my local pals run strokers or maxi pads.

Jim,

Thanks for the good time i had a blast. i only went 240' i was happy but not happy enuff, truck needs more. (go figure huh) thanks for the place to crash too. we got ot be more careful next ime when running neck and neck down the freeway, damn busted toraus in the median scared the crap out of us both. any ways it was a good time thanks alot guys.

Andy,

Only 240'?? Your truck must not have realized it was putting down "477,1208"... cough, cough ;) :-laf

Wish I could've gone down with you guys, but it was another weekend of working on the fence for the elk out at a friend's place. Your weekend sounds more fun.

When are you guys heading to the drags again? The clutch needs another workout...

Later,

Billy sounds like we are trying to get down there on Oct 10th to Rock Falls. I think Josh is going to post it but not exactly sure. So far I think Josh, Andy, Tim and myself were going. I figured just bring a grill and cook some food to make a day of it. Shall see I guess, figured I know how to use the clutch in a 1/4 mile verses a 300ft pull. I suck at pulling, doubt if I will do it again. On the other hand I have a tendency to miss 5th a lot, so I could suck at the 1/4 too... ... ... ... ... ... ... :p

Hey Turbo, I just saw something, how do you get to put down 477? You can't claim that unless you buy a timing box. You should have used your numbers the way the truck sits  . All in all the air is thicker in Iowa I know... ... ... ... ... . ;)

jim,

ok ok ok... . 450/1177 happy now thats with out timing. will i know my truck was not awake during the pull, i messed up cuz i didnt want to break something so i wussed out and didnt mash it till about 125ft out BIG mistake. Jim i might take you in a 1/4 but we'll see now wont we.

Andy

:) Ya you just maybe able to do that mister auto. I will just say that I missed 5th :-laf . Thought you were after the red neck? Don't pick on us stick men. I got an idea bring that '01 down and I will shut off the box and we can go heads up :D .

After the Redneck... . hehe... . So far 2 for 2 for the Redneck! Even with the Little Fat Kid telling me the incorrect track conditions!

Stick Men? Spicy, I wouldn't exactly call you a "stick man. " I think the little Fat Kid would get those honors!

Josh

HEY HEY HEY! I'm no stick thank you very much. I WILL HOLD TO MY NAME THE FAT KID any ways as far as heads up i'll race you but im not turning my box off thats not fair your injectors are bigger than my setup.

THe Fat Kid

Andy

It is only a injector FAT KID.

I was only kidding about bringing down the '01.

You and I know I am not no stick J. P. Bet I could shave some tenths off the slip if I lost a few pounds?, na it is easier to buy things that make more power. :D
