Competition BOMBING a CR vs. 24 Valver Gen 2

Competition daily driver goes 11.54 @116

I haven't hooked up to any trucks and tried to pull them before so bare with me. I understand the basic principle of trucks pulling each other. My buddy has a 87 2wd Ford F-350 full 4-door duelly with the 7. 3L international non-turbo truck with a 3spd automatic trans, the truck has 178K miles on it and its his 3rd transmission. He has the banks sidewinder non-intercooled turbo kit on the truck and a 4 inch banks exhaust with a muffler. His truck has an open rear with 4. 10 gears so it only hits a one tire fire(or two in this case). He thinks he can pull my 01 2500 4x4 in 2wd with my chip off on dry pavement. I also have an intake and a 4 inch straight pipe. I was just wondering what you all thought, I think I can take him but I was just wondering what tips you all had towards truck pulling. thanks ya'll. . . . . Jed.

in my opinion, it is all about the hitch height. if his hitch point is higher than you, he is able to pull your back tires off the ground. it is all about traction, too

You'll eat him up dude... Just remember if you break your tires loose ease off the throttle a bit and use your brakes... That ol Furd won't be an issue...

Yeah I understand the concept of traction to. His hitch height is probably 6 inchs lower then mine. I talked to him today and he seems to not be into the idea of me hooking up with him anymore. Guess he started to second guess himself and his rig.
