Hey guys. I have an automatic 2005 RAM Cummins Turbo Diesel 2500 with 59k miles. Just recently it started running pretty bad.
I took it into a transmission shop to get it looked at. When I first took it in there, they changed my output sensor and it seemed like it fixed the issue. If you drive the truck slow it shifts smooth, but if you give it some gas the RPM bounces from 1500 to 2500 RPM rapidly until it finally shifts into 2nd gear. After it is in 2nd gear, the truck runs smooth. They took a look at my transmission and told me there wasn't anything wrong.
Does anyone have a clue what this may be? The transmission shop mentioned it could possibly be an electronic issue or some kind of engine issue. Any thoughts of what it may be would be appreciated. Thank you!
