Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) truck runs 20mph at full throttle!

when I start off in the morning the truck runs but at 20mph at full throttle, after about 2-5min it takes off, fuel filter maybe, any help is great thanks,bc

im guessing u have auto ,theyll do that till warmed up

yes its an auto, I,m going to replace the fuel filter, its time for that, and change oil and filter also, then I'll go from there, thanks , I did notice that it does not do it when I plug it in at night, were at the 38-40 degree mark at night, 55-60 during the day, I grew up in upper westchester county,ny. went to prep-school, in colchester,conn. st thomas more prep, in 1974 -75, thanks bc
