truck runs like crap with the triple dog!!HELP

I just purchased the triple dog downloader and I am currently running the TST and the MP8 and the truck runs fine,but as soon as you download the triple dog,the power is there but it surges like a son of a gun,if you set the cruise and watch the turbo boost the power goes up and down up and down,and if you are just barely in the pedal all of a sudden the power will feel like it wants to take off and then it kind of stops,does anybody have any suggestions????

Try running the T-Dog by itself & see what happens.

Triple Dogs don't do well on 03-04's for some reason..... Smarty is a much better buy for your year model.

I installed a T-Dog on my brother-in-laws 04 & it didn't do good at all... . barely noticeable power gain. It works well on my brothers 04. 5 though.

Sounds like to me you are running your fuel rail dry..... What do your egt's do when it surges??? If they increase faster than normal you are prolly pulling your rail dry. . With this stack on your truck you have to fine tune it... . I run my tst on 3/2, with bully dog on the lowest setting, and the edge ez on level 2. . With seat of pants it feels the best to me... Do you have a fuel pressure guage??? Wesley

I can turn all the rest of them off and turn the T dog off too and just bone stock it still runs rough

it dont matter what settings the rest of them are one it still does it bone stock only when the triple dog is downloaded but if you download it back to stock it runs fine with just the tst/mp8

the egts increase a little bit,I just put in so I havent played with it much,but why does it still run rough when I put it down to stock when its downloaded,course if you download it back to stock it runs fine,plus the triple dog freezes up quite a bit when you try and change settings on it

I would definately call bully dog on this one. . Sounds like maybe a faulty download... Do you have any codes???

Yeah sounds like either the Bullydog didn't get the right programming, or else your truck just isn't going to take the BDDL. Remember, all trucks are different, sometimes some trucks just don't take to a new programmer. My truck for instance didn't like the TST, so I had to get it re-flashed and a new harness.

exactly. 04. 5+ bullydog stuff is pretty good, with the exception of the 07. few issues there.

I had a similar sounding problem with running the Smarty on wild. Is it like the pedal ir REALLY touchy. With my cruise on 75 it would boost to 14# drop off to 4# back to 14#.

The Smarty wild program is supposed to be touchy.

what do I do now that the thing is stuck on "Configuring vehicle do not unplug" my truck wont start and the programer acts like it is froze up

also they told me to redownload itand when it ask you if you want the low end power to say no,and when I tryed to do that ti got stuck on that configuring vehicle do not unplug
