Everyday I drive the same roads to work. Some days always in the same section of road my entire truck starts to shake. Some days it will shake a little some days a lot. Never to the point that it's hard to control. The steering wheel doesn't go wild and it's not hard to keep the truck straight, it just shakes everything from the dash to me. What could this be. I'm completely stock on everything that's not listed below.

How is your fuel pressure? The reason I asked is mine did the same thing after I installed the Banks kit like 4 hours after. Turns out my LP had failed and I was starving my injection pump. Replaced the LP and no more shake. It was spuratic as well. Sometimes it would do it and other times it wouldn't.

my fuel is 14psi idle, 10-11psi driving, 7-8psi WOT. It's always in the same stretches of road. All on Interstates. I can drive 70mph on a country or state rd and have no troubles. I know that road is bad because I can feel the same shakiness in my wifes minivan. I'm curious why some days it is noticalbe but not bad and other days it will jar your teeth. Do I need to look at some new shocks? The truck handles fine even during the shaking.

It's probably related to the speed your traveling. There is a section of cement highway near me that if I take it at a certain speed I'll get bounced like I'm on a pogo stick. 5 mph faster or 5 mph slower it's WAYYYYYYYYYYY smoother. That particular stretch of road and the wheelbase of my truck happens to set up a harmonic at that certain speed. Next time it happens try speeding up or slowing down and see if it goes away or reduces greatly - I bet it does.

Good set of shocks really do make a big difference in these trucks. I had a 94 that I just put on Rancho RS 5000's and really noticed a big difference. There are a lot better shocks than the RS5000's, but even those did me good on washboard dirt roads. If you are still running stock shocks you ought to think about upgrading. They are really only good for occasional off road use. If you drive dirt every day you will be happy with the money spent

My '94 2wd 2500 would shake some days, same highway, same speed, same load. Then I discovered when pulling my Airstream that when the equalizer hitch wasn't adjusted with enouth weight to the front it was worse yet and only with side winds. When tracking straight into or with the wind the truck was smooth as can be ,empty or pulling. What I think is that the side wind lifts the upwind side so slightly and lets that front wheel bounce and the shock was not dampning it. I ordered a set of Bilsteins from Kennedy Performace Diesel for $134@pr. Today out for a ride down the highway with a 40 mph sidewind all the bounce was gone.

Thanks for all of the input. I will try a new set of shocks soon. Are the Bilsteins the way to go or I've seen posts on the Rancho 9000s.
