the last few trips to vermont have been weird!

i'll be running up a good hill and the truck shudders at about 65+mph and over 25lbs boost. i have the DTT stuff installed and has been fine for two years now. do i need to adjust my bands? my fluid level seemed a bit low but i checked it when it was cold in netural. any ideas? ... . james

well

I’m going to stick my foot in on this one and hope I don't get hurt. But it sounds like the t/c is slipping. Before changing anything in the trans did you change the angle of the pinion in the last couple of months? Like more weight in the bed of the truck or heaver trailer? You could have a thing called driveline vibration or launch shudder at higher speeds under heave loads.

Seen a few trucks do this before... Could be transmission-related, but it sounds more like an engine issue. Check your fuel pressure, and if you can, see if there are any codes set in the computer. Sometimes the truck will shudder when the fuel pressure is low, and may set a P0216 code.

Report back! :D

My 99 recently did the same thing on a trip tp Gatlinburg TN. The EZ was Defueling above 21 #'s of boost causing the truck to shudder going up hill with a load. I removed the EZ and problem went away, Reinstall and the shudder was back again, as you state only on hills.

Check your fuel preasure and maybe try some duielectric grease on the conections.

Edge replaced my EZ with a Comp and my truck is back to pleasing me again.

Good Luck, TJ
