Truck shut off at stop sign

This happened this morning. 25*f outside, truck warmed up. While pulling up to a stop sign, the engine stumbled, then died. It started right up and ran perfect all the way to work. I did the key thing to see if any codes were stored and there were none. Anyone have this happen to them? What could have caused this? I have had a check engine light that was diagnosed as a problem with the thermostat about 1700 miles ago but no other problems since.

I've had this happen to me a number of times - thankfully the truck always started right back up again, and the problem would not re-appear for some time later (usually a couple thousand miles later). Just before the shut-down the idle was very rough - although no CEL's have resulted. My first thought would have been the fuel filter, but the first time this happened, the truck was less than 5,000 miles old.

I was thinking maybe the fuel was gelling but very unlikely at 25*. My 2002 did the same thing the day I bought it less than 2 blocks after I left the dealership, no codes or CEL, but never did it again in 80K miles.

Good thought, but if it were gelled fuel, it wouldn't light right back up again and keep running very strong. All the times it's happened to me the air temperature was not in the danger zone for gelling.
