Well I got out to start my truck this morning before heading to work. I turned the key on and waited till the "wait to start" light went off like always and it fired right up and ran about 3-4 seconds and quit. I turned the key back on to make sure the lift pump had primed and I notice the gauge is showing no pressure. I cycled the switch several times listening for the lift pump and it's not making a sound. I noticed a loud clicking under the hood that sounds like a relay but I'm not sure if it always does that sound and the lift pump just drowned it out before or what? Any ideas where to start? It was 19 outside this morning also but I'm not sure that matters cause it's always started before.

BTW, the lift pump was a brand new Carter unit I just installed about 4 months ago when I did the Vulcan big line relocation kit and put the pump on the frame rail.

I just went through the same thing, and it was my lift pump. I had an upgraded unit from Bosch put in but it was to late, I had killed my injector pump. ouch!

Mine's always had at least 12psi of pressure at idle and at least 8psi WOT, I check it everytime I drive it and this morning is the only time it showed ZERO and it's asking like it's just not kicking on.

Well I came home from work and it was about 40 degrees outside and the truck fired right up but the Water in Fuel light was on so I drained the filter housing and the light went off and I thought I was good to go.

I went out this morning and fired the truck up and it did the same thing, ran about 2-3 seconds and shut off. I lifted the plunger to see if there was water in the filter housing and nothing drained out, so I'm guessing I got a bad batch of fuel? Anyone?
