Well long story short, I lent my truck out and while it was on loan BOTH batteries were drained down to nothing by leaving 55-watt lights on for 2 days. After getting the truck back the cranking was extremely slow so I replace both batteries with new Costco ones but now when I start it, it cranks fast (normal) but the crank TIME has increased. It spins over longer than it did before the battery situation... .

It's amazing how one or two more revolutions seems like an eternity.

The dead batteries would have killed any active DTCs, but the may still be stored in memory. See if there are any.

We have a 1999 3500 at work that was doing the same thing. CPS started to fail. Took a wile to narrow it down before it finally offered up a DTC.

On edit - The only other thing I can think of is that you have developed a minor fuel leak and the fuel is bleeding down a touch.
