I have a 2002 Ram HO, 6 speed. A month ago the PCM was replaced - Truck lacked power and check engine light was on. The truck has been fine until Friday. I drove about 40 miles, parked the truck and then after about 1/2 went to leave. The truck started fine, I drove in the parking lot about 40 feet, then it surged and stalled. I restarted it and it did the same thing. I tried to start it several times. Sometimes it would start, other times it would not. It was towed to the dealer and the dealer this morning says it was doing the same thing for them. Then they noticed that it had an alarm (factory alarm). So they claimed to disable the alarm by turning the door lock clockwise 2x. They say the truck is fine now. They say the alarm was on and the computer thought it was being stolen, so it shut down the engine. How could this be? I only lock and unlock the truck with the key fob. They do not have the key fob, they didn't want it. When the tow truck dropped off the truck and the dealer, I drove it atleast 40 feet and it was fine. Then sitting over the weekend until this morning then they say it would start/stall for them until they disarmed the alarm. The claimed to drive it and let it sit running 15 minutes and it is fine. They will check it again tomorrow morning. Things I noticed when it would start/stall. The tach showed 0 just before it stalled. When turning the key off and then back on, the wait to start light showed to be dim, almost flickering.

Any suggestions/ideas? The truck has about 48,500 miles on it. Also the EZ box has been off the truck since the new PCM was installed.

Thanks - Mike
